About This Project

Shadows, morning coffee, texture, light, sunrise, narrow lanes, festival, manhole streets, trains, family play, beach, cold breeze, dogs , Christmas flowers, Christmas market.

I have decided to go to Sheringham to generate an effective photoshoot relating to Christmas festivities, including decorations and events.

Furthermore, I decided to experiment with texture, angles and layout of the photograph, especially using the rule of thirds, to create an evocative and interesting composition, especially with photos that contain a lot of shadow, high contrasts and light to signify the type of cloths people are wearing outside to create an atmospheric appeal of winter.

I was particularly interested in finding Christmas themed things; however, I was unable to, except for a grotto, small car boot sale and decorations including lights, holly wreaths which were celebratory, making me think more creatively about my artistic decisions, and techniques.

I did do shoots, but I find it very mundane and simplistic, so I wanted to go with the theme of family, and texture to summarise the whole shoot.
